1. Acceptance of these terms
By selecting “I understand and continue” or by using MAP & PUMP, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. School project and test data only
MAP & PUMP is a non-production school project built for learning, demonstration, and testing. It is not a live fuel service, payment service, emergency service, or commercial platform. Features, records, maps, prices, bookings, and availability information may be fictional, incomplete, incorrect, or removed at any time.
Do not rely on this site for real-world fuel availability, bookings, travel decisions, or business operations. Payment-status records are user-entered records and are not proof from a bank or wallet provider.
3. Email, registration information, and credential safety
You may provide an email address you control for sign-in, verification, invitations, secure payment-request access, and essential account or request-status notices. A public HQ application may use a time-limited email link to access its payment request; anyone with that link may use it, so keep it private. Company registration forms may request company and contact details, a business licence number and document, and a company logo. Submit only information and documents you are authorised to share. Never submit passwords, wallet PINs, full payment credentials, or another person’s information without authority. Do not reuse passwords from other services.
If other real personal information is submitted accidentally, contact the project team promptly to request removal. We may delete submitted content or accounts to protect privacy or maintain the test environment.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse MAP & PUMP. This includes attempting unauthorised access, disrupting the site, uploading harmful content, scraping or harvesting data, impersonating another person or organisation, or using the project for unlawful activity.
5. External payments and status records
Any money transfer is made separately through a bank or wallet service. MAP & PUMP does not initiate, collect, hold, or independently verify funds. The payer may create a request and later report an external transfer. Only the designated recipient can record receipt; these entries are user declarations, not bank or wallet confirmation. An optional receipt file may be attached as evidence, but it does not confirm payment by itself. A recipient-recorded receipt may enable a related feature in this demonstration. Never upload passwords, wallet PINs, or full payment credentials. Any real-world arrangement between parties is separate from this demonstration, and the site does not guarantee a transfer, fuel availability, or commercial outcome.
6. Intellectual property
MAP & PUMP, including its branding, software, design, and content we provide, remains our property or that of our licensors. You may use the service only as allowed by these terms. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our materials except as expressly permitted.
Content you submit (for example station details or profile information) remains yours. You grant MAP & PUMP a licence to use, display, and process that content as needed to operate and improve the service.
7. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using MAP & PUMP, you acknowledge that policy.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that station availability or other data will always be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAP & PUMP and its operators, affiliates, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or a modest fixed amount where required by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using MAP & PUMP at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
